Is it dangerous to take a larger dose of a vitamin than the Daily Value (DV)? Follow
Not always!
It depends on how much more of the Daily Value you are taking and more specifically which nutrient you are taking in excess. Some nutrients like Iron and fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin A have very clear Upper Limits, which when exceeded may cause adverse health effects. However, water-soluble vitamins typically don't cause negative effects when exceeding the Daily value because they are excreted in the urine if the body doesn't utilize them. Some individuals may benefit from taking doses higher than the Daily Value.
Persona keeps a close eye on the dose of each nutrient you are recommended to ensure your safety.
